Graco SnugRide Crash Test
Want to know about the safety of the Graco Snugride car seat?
The Graco Snugride 35 infant car seat has been rigorously crash tested to meet or exceed all United States safety standards. It has also been side impact tested for occupant retention in the harness system.
The Snugride Click Connect was tested at 2x car seat standard and to extreme car interior temperatures.
Graco Snugride Base Compatibility
Looking for an extra Graco Snugride base?
The Graco Snugride Click Connect 30, 35 and 35 LX infant car seat carriers are compatible with SnugRide Click Connect 30/35 infant car seat base so you can purchase a second car seat base to install in another vehicle.
This Graco car seat uses “Click Connect,” which is their newer technology to connect the seat to the base or stroller in just one step. Their older technology was called “Classic Connect.”
The Click Connect feature lets you “click” the baby car seat into the base in just one step, in about one second. The Click Connect models cannot be used with any of the Graco “Classic Connect” bases.
Having a second car seat base is useful when you are using two vehicles frequently. You can keep 2 separate bases in the vehicles so that you do not have to uninstall and install the car seat each time you change cars.
You can also install this seat without the base. This way, you can keep the base in your car and if your baby ever needs to ride in someone else’s car, you can install the car seat without the base. This can help you save money from having to purchase another base.
There are instructions on how to install the seat without the base safely in the Graco Snugride manual.
Graco Snugride Stroller Compatibility
Looking for a Graco Snugride stroller? Great news!
The Graco SnugRide 35 LX infant seat is compatible with all Graco Click Connect strollers so there are many to choose from!
The Graco Snugride is specially designed to connect securely to these strollers, allowing you to have the flexibility to create your own baby travel system. You will hear a clear audio “click” that will let you know the seat is secured to the stroller.
The Graco SnugRider Elite is a great option for a lightweight stroller that is compatible with this car seat. It has a huge storage basket and is very easy to fold.
Another popular single stroller option is the Graco Modes Click Connect Stroller. In fact, they sell the Snugride car seat and the Graco Modes stroller together as a baby travel system. Check here for the Graco Modes Travel System.

Graco SnugRide SnugLock 35 VS SnugRide Click Connect 35
Wondering what the difference is between Snugride Snuglock and Click Connect?
Graco SnugRide SnugLock 35 and SnugRide Click Connect 35 are both variations of the Graco SnugRide infant car seat. They have many similarities such as they both fit babies 4-35 lbs and up to 32″ in height. They both also have the Click Connect technology installed.
The main difference between the two car seats is that SnugRide Snuglock features the Snuglock technology and the Click Connect 36 does not.
So what is Graco Snuglock? Snuglock technology offers 3-steps hassle free installation using either vehicle seat belt or LATCH. In 3 easy steps, you can securely install your car seat with a simple push.
Although the Click Connect does not come with the Snuglock feature, it is still latch-equipped and easy to install.
Another difference is that the Snuglock 35 comes with 4 recline positions, while the Snugride Click Connect 35 comes with 6 recline positions. There’s not much differences between the 4 and 6 recline positions.
SnugRide is positioned as the higher model compared to the Click Connect, so it is typically priced higher. However, if these 2 main differences do not make any difference to you, the Click Connect infant car seat is a great option for many of us.
SnugRide 35 VS 30
What’s the difference is between SnugRide Click Connect 35 and 30?
Although the two car seats have many similarities, the SnugRide 35 is a newer model with more features.
For example, the 35 has a bigger sun canopy than the 30 so that there is more coverage for your baby. The infant insert is also more cushioned.
In addition, the Snugride 30 fits babies only until 30 pounds and 30 inches while the Snugride 35 fits babies until 35 pounds and 32 inches.
The Snugride 35’s five point safety harness can easily be tightened from the front.
Between the Snugride 30 and 35 car seats, we would recommend the 35 as it’s worth the extra cost for the additional features and more months of use.
SnugRide Click Connect 35 VS 35 LX
Wondering what the difference is between SnugRide Click Connect 35 and 35 LX?
The 35 LX is the premium version of the regular Click Connect 35, hence it is slightly more expensive. The car seats mostly have similarities with only a few differences.
The main differences are that the 35 LX features Simply Safe Adjust Harness and InRight Latch while the regular one does not.
What is Simply Safe Adjust Harness? This system allows you to adjust the harness easily by sliding it up and down in the back of the infant car seat. The Click Connect 35 doesn’t have this feature so you have to re-thread the harness to a different height if you want to adjust it to the height of your child.
What is InRight Latch? Although both the 35 and 35 LX are latch equipped, the LX car seat has InRight Latch that makes installation easier with its one-second latch attachment.
Comparing the SnugRide 35 vs 35 LX, we would recommend getting the Snugride 35 LX for the ease of simply adjusting the harness and installing the car seat.
For under $150, the Graco Snugride Click Connect 35 LX is one of the budget-friendly options for infant car seats.
